Country Codes

Lowercase ISO country codes are used in page names to keep them separate from each other. These are the same codes as those used on Internet domain names. See this list of codes.

United States state codes

Standard US Post Office state codes are used but changed to lower case. These are combined with the country code, like us-ca for California.

World region codes

  • AF - Africa
  • AN - Antarctica
  • AS - Asia
  • CA - Central America
  • EU - Europe
  • ME - Middle East
  • NA - North America (upper case, Namibia is also na but lower case)
  • OC - Oceania
  • SA - South America

Other region codes

Use uppercase for other regions codes not defined above. If the region is likely to conflict with another code then place it under a larger region or spell it out. For example instead of using LA for Los Angeles use us-ca-la.
