The Gnu Free Doc License was chosen for this project to allow continued sharing of the community data. There are other "open" licenses available such as variations of the Open Document License but Gnu Free Doc is also used by Wikipedia and by having the same license the data can be easily shared.

It is important no copyrighted work is submitted without permission.
